Hey girl hey! Thanks for visiting my website and wanting to know more about me. Here’s my lil spiel:
I grew up in Ashland, Oregon and moved to Seattle in 2012 to go to school (forever a Pacific Northwest girl 😉). I went to Seattle U and graduated with my B.A. in Digital Design in 2015 and have been working as a designer ever since! By working a handful of different contract roles early on in my career, I discovered which types of workplaces I like and which ones aren’t for me, and ultimately I have always been drawn to the flexibility and autonomy of freelancing.
Now I live and work in the South Seattle area with my sweet husband Tucker, our two dogs Sadie and Ahsoka and our puuurecious baby cat Josephine. I love them all so much!
Themes/causes I care about and like to integrate into my work: mental health (specifically living with depression and suicide prevention), death and dying, reproductive justice and having access to free and safe abortions, and ending homelessness. I also love stand up comedy, podcasts, and all things horror!
I love projects that…
give me opportunities to make fun art with my friends.
leave me with time and the capacity to rest, imagine, explore, and learn.
generate an abundance of energy and creative ideas, rather than depleting them.
allow me to continuously develop my artistic voice and style.
let me work with other creative people toward shared goals.
engage me as a collaborator rather than a reviewer, manager or a service.
are mission-driven and align with my personal values.
help me raise up others.

I have always been freelancing here and there to various degrees throughout my career, but I have been doin’ it full-time since October ‘21. I take on a variety of digital and print projects from my home office (and sometimes out and around Seattle). My favorite thing about freelancing is getting to work with a variety of awesome people who are out there doing cool work. I love to work with small businesses and non profits!
Brands I’ve made worked on include: Duke’s Seafood, Novo Fogo, Planned Parenthood, National Women's Law Center, Charlie’s Produce, The Movement Cooperative, Fresh Tracks, The Juicy Cafe, World Central Kitchen, …and more!
“Sierra is a super talented genius! I asked her to design a logo and a sticker for me and she enthusiastically accepted the job. A day or so later, I opened my inbox to find about six fully executed ideas that were all awesome. I wound up (happily) buying more from her than I intended and her work got me extra excited to launch my new side business. I definitely hope to be able hire Sierra again and again. (I also get compliments on her work all the time.)”

“Sierra was a contract visual designer for Amazon Device customer engagement campaigns. She was an invaluable contractor at times when a high influx of work was required under tight timelines. She worked with me to conduct design explorations which helped hone style guides and best practices for engagement channels, her explorations ultimately contributed to guidelines set for those channels and their success. She was reliable and timely throughout the duration of her contract and I would gladly work with again.”
