Awwww, thanks for visiting my website and wanting to know more about me 💖

I grew up in Ashland, Oregon and moved to Seattle in 2012 to go to school (forever a Pacific Northwest girl 🤘🏻). I went to Seattle U and graduated with my B.A. in Digital Design in 2015 and have been working as a designer ever since! By working a handful of different contract roles early on in my career, I discovered which types of workplaces I like and which ones aren’t for me, and ultimately I have always been drawn to the flexibility and autonomy of freelancing.

Now I live and work in the South Seattle area with my sweetie husband Tucker, and our furbabes Ahsoka and Josephine.

Themes/causes I care about and like to integrate into my work where I can: mental health, death and dying, reproductive justice and having access to free and safe abortions, and ending homelessness. I’m also a huge nerd for stand up comedy and all things horror (so much so that I did a podcast with my friends called Sirens of Scream!)

I look for projects and work environments that…

  • are mission-driven and align with my personal values

  • leave me with time and the capacity to rest, imagine, explore, and learn

  • generate an abundance of energy and creative ideas, rather than depleting them

  • allow me to continuously develop my artistic voice and style

  • let me work with other creative people toward shared goals

I can help you with: social media content, display ads, web graphics, presentations and reports, branding, illustration, print, and short animations

Production and editorial designer at D1 Creative (previously Amazon Creative Services). I worked on banners and graphics for Amazon.com (the majority for home, kitchen, garden, launchpad, and wedding registry), associate ads, printed marketing materials, email templates, and I began development on a style guide for the Amazon Wedding Registry with the goal of creating a one-stop-shop registry experience that is inclusive, inspirational, and functional for Amazon users.

What the people are saying….

“Sierra is a super talented genius! I asked her to design a logo and a sticker for me and she enthusiastically accepted the job. A day or so later, I opened my inbox to find about six fully executed ideas that were all awesome. I wound up (happily) buying more from her than I intended and her work got me extra excited to launch my new side business. I definitely hope to be able hire Sierra again and again. (I also get compliments on her work all the time.)”
Kelly Hinkle, Creator of Feminist Sticker Club and Cat Sticker Club

“I was Sierra’s manager at Amazon creative services. Sierra was one of the best designers we had on the team. I would give Sierra the highest marks for rehierabillity. She is a rockstar.”
Jason Henrickson, Program Manager at Amazon

“Sierra was a contract visual designer for Amazon Device customer engagement campaigns. She was an invaluable contractor at times when a high influx of work was required under tight timelines. She worked with me to conduct design explorations which helped hone style guides and best practices for engagement channels, her explorations ultimately contributed to guidelines set for those channels and their success. She was reliable and timely throughout the duration of her contract and I would gladly work with again.”
Bowen Ames, Art Director at Amazon
